Workshops
Our workshops are designed to make mental health knowledge practical, accessible, and useful in everyday life. We focus on creating engaging conversations about mental health, moving beyond theory and into real-world understanding that people can actually apply. Whether we’re working with community organisations, charities, or workplaces, our aim is the same: to increase confidence, build awareness, and equip people with tools that make a meaningful difference. Please note, workshops are not group therapy nor a form of therapy.
Our sessions are interactive by design. Rather than passive lectures, participants are encouraged to reflect, contribute, and connect the material to their own experiences (at a level they feel comfortable with). We use a blend of clear psychoeducation, real-life examples, guided discussions, and simple evidence-based strategies drawn from cognitive behavioural approaches. The tone is warm, inclusive, and non-clinical—making complex topics feel understandable without losing depth.
We offer a range of workshops tailored to common mental health needs:
Introduction to Mental Health
This workshop provides a clear and approachable foundation for understanding mental health. We explore what mental health actually is, how it exists on a spectrum, and how everyday factors—like stress, lifestyle, and environment—can influence wellbeing. Participants leave with a stronger awareness of signs and symptoms, reduced stigma, and greater confidence in talking about mental health, whether in personal or professional settings.
Depression Workshops
Our depression workshops focus on helping participants understand how low mood develops and is maintained. We break down common patterns such as withdrawal, negative thinking, and loss of motivation, and explore how these can create cycles that are difficult to shift. The session introduces practical strategies to interrupt these cycles, including behavioural activation, small habit changes, and ways to respond differently to unhelpful thoughts.
Generalised Anxiety Workshops
These workshops help participants understand anxiety in a structured and reassuring way. We explore how worry works, why it can feel uncontrollable, and how it affects both the mind and body. Participants learn practical tools to manage excessive worry, reduce avoidance, and regain a sense of control—while also understanding when anxiety is helpful versus when it becomes overwhelming.
Managing Stress Workshops
Focused on the realities of modern life, this workshop helps individuals identify their personal stress triggers and understand how stress builds over time. We explore the physical and psychological impact of prolonged stress and introduce practical techniques to manage it effectively. This includes grounding strategies, lifestyle adjustments, and ways to build resilience without promoting unrealistic expectations of “always coping.”
If there are other mental health/wellbeing related workshops you would like us to deliver, please contact us and we'll see what we can do.We understand that different settings have different needs. Our workshops can be adapted in tone, depth, and delivery style depending on the audience—whether that’s a workplace looking to support staff wellbeing, a charity supporting vulnerable groups, or a community organisation aiming to increase awareness and access.
Sessions can be delivered as standalone one-day workshops or as part of a series, and we offer flexibility in duration and format (in-person or online). We also recognise the importance of accessibility, and offer adjusted pricing structures for charities and community organisations to ensure these conversations reach the people who need them most.
At the core of everything we deliver is a simple principle: mental health information should feel relatable, empowering, and immediately useful—not overwhelming or abstract. Our workshops are built to leave people not just informed, but more confident in understanding and managing mental health in real life.

At Mindli, we understand that seeking therapy can feel like a significant step. Our individual therapy service provides a confidential, supportive, and culturally sensitive space where you can explore difficulties, develop new perspectives, and work towards meaningful change.
Our approach is focused, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. We primarily work using principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), one of the most researched and effective psychological therapies available. CBT helps us understand the relationship between our thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and physical responses, and how these patterns can sometimes keep us stuck in cycles of distress. Through therapy, we work together to identify these patterns and develop practical strategies to help you respond differently and move towards the life you want to live.
At Mindli, therapy is not simply about talking through problems. It is an active process that encourages insight, reflection, and action. We work collaboratively to understand what may be maintaining your difficulties and create an individualised treatment plan tailored to your specific goals, circumstances, and values. Sessions are structured enough to provide direction and progress, while remaining flexible to ensure the work remains relevant to your needs.
A key focus of therapy is helping you build long-term skills rather than creating dependence on therapy itself. This may include learning techniques to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, developing healthier coping strategies, overcoming avoidance, improving self-confidence, strengthening relationships, and increasing engagement in meaningful activities. Many clients find that the skills they learn in therapy continue to benefit them long after sessions have ended.
We recognise that culture, faith, family expectations, identity, and life experiences can have a significant influence on mental health and wellbeing. Our therapists take time to understand your unique background and perspective, ensuring therapy feels relevant, respectful, and personalised. We aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and able to discuss issues that may not always feel easy to talk about elsewhere.
We offer 1–2–1 therapy for: Depression, Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Social Anxiety, Health Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Specific Phobias, Stress and Burnout, Low Self-Esteem.
Physical Health and Long-Term Conditions: We also recognise the close relationship between physical health and psychological wellbeing. Living with a long-term health condition can affect every aspect of life, including mood, confidence, relationships, work, and daily functioning. The emotional impact of managing ongoing symptoms is often overlooked, yet can be just as challenging as the condition itself.
Our therapists provide tailored support for individuals living with: Diabetes, Chronic Pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Therapy in this area focuses on helping you manage the emotional and psychological challenges associated with long-term conditions. This may include addressing health-related worry, frustration, low mood, feelings of loss, uncertainty about the future, difficulties adjusting to diagnosis, or the impact that symptoms have on day-to-day activities.
Using evidence-based approaches, we help individuals develop practical ways of responding to symptoms, reducing distress, improving coping, and enhancing overall quality of life. While therapy may not change the condition itself, it can help you regain a greater sense of control, resilience, and confidence in managing its impact.
Whether you are facing a specific mental health difficulty, struggling with the demands of a long-term condition, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of how to move forward, Mindli provides a compassionate and professional space to help you understand your experiences and create lasting change.
Throughout therapy, we focus on helping you:
- Understand the patterns underlying your difficulties
- Develop practical coping strategies that actually fit your life
- Reduce avoidance and build confidence in facing challenges
- Create meaningful, lasting change rather than short-term relief
We also place strong emphasis on transparency and collaboration. You’ll have a clear understanding of what we’re working on and why, and therapy goals are regularly reviewed to ensure the work stays relevant and effective.
At its core, Mindli’s individual therapy is about helping you feel more in control of your mental health—equipping you with the tools, insight, and confidence to navigate challenges in a way that feels manageable and sustainable.

Relationships can be one of the greatest sources of support, connection, and fulfilment in our lives. However, when difficulties arise, they can also become a significant source of stress, frustration, and emotional pain. At Mindli, our couples therapy service is designed to help partners better understand one another, strengthen their relationship, and develop practical skills to navigate challenges together.
Our couples therapy is a structured, collaborative, and goal-focused intervention delivered by a clinician trained in Behavioural Couple's Therapy (CBT). This approach is grounded in understanding how thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and communication patterns interact within a relationship. Over time, couples can become caught in repetitive cycles that unintentionally maintain distress, such as criticism and defensiveness, withdrawal and pursuit, or recurring misunderstandings that leave both partners feeling unheard and disconnected.
Rather than focusing on blame or identifying a “right” and “wrong” partner, therapy helps couples step back and understand the patterns that have developed between them. By viewing difficulties through a shared lens, couples are often able to move away from conflict and towards collaboration, creating opportunities for meaningful and lasting change.
Our approach is equally effective when one or both partners are experiencing depression, or when relationship difficulties have become persistent, distressing, and difficult to resolve independently. Depression can significantly affect relationships, often leading to reduced communication, emotional withdrawal, increased irritability, loss of intimacy, reduced engagement in shared activities, and feelings of disconnection. These changes can understandably impact the other partner, who may feel confused, rejected, helpless, or frustrated.
Therapy helps both partners understand how depression influences the relationship and how the relationship, in turn, can affect recovery. Together, we identify unhelpful cycles that may have developed and work towards creating a more supportive, understanding, and connected partnership. Research consistently shows that strong relationships can act as a protective factor for mental wellbeing, making relationship-focused interventions an important part of recovery for some individuals experiencing depression.
Sessions are structured but flexible, allowing space to explore important issues while maintaining a clear focus on agreed goals. Throughout therapy, you will work collaboratively with the therapist to:
* Develop a shared understanding of the difficulties affecting the relationship
* Identify and map patterns of communication and interaction that may be maintaining distress
* Improve communication in a clear, respectful, and constructive manner
* Increase emotional understanding, empathy, and validation between partners
* Strengthen emotional connection and relationship satisfaction
* Improve problem-solving and shared decision-making skills
* Increase positive interactions and meaningful shared experiences
* Reduce criticism, hostility, avoidance, and other unhelpful relationship behaviours
A central part of the therapeutic process is ensuring that both partners feel heard, understood, and respected. The therapist provides a balanced and impartial space where each person’s perspective can be explored safely and constructively. Conversations are guided in a way that helps couples move beyond repeated arguments, misunderstandings, or entrenched positions, allowing for greater insight and more productive discussions.At Mindli, we also recognise that relationships are shaped by culture, faith, family values, and lived experiences. Expectations around communication, gender roles, family involvement, emotional expression, and conflict can vary significantly across different backgrounds. Our therapists take a culturally sensitive approach, seeking to understand the unique context of your relationship and ensuring that therapy is respectful, relevant, and tailored to your circumstances.Couples therapy can be beneficial whether you are experiencing ongoing conflict, feeling emotionally disconnected, struggling to communicate effectively, or finding that depression is placing strain on your relationship. Our aim is to help couples develop a stronger understanding of one another, build healthier patterns of interaction, and create a more supportive and fulfilling relationship.
Suitable for:
* Relationship difficulties associated with depression
* Communication difficulties
* Emotional distance and disconnection
* Difficulties with problem-solving and shared decision-making
* Sharing responsibilities
Please Note: our couples therapy service is specifically designed for difficulties relating to depression and significant relationship strain.
